Clare is filmmaker working in and around New York and California and currently participating as a fellow in The IFP Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film.
After graduating from Duke University, she spent several years working in the film industry in Los Angeles before moving to New York for graduate school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she received her MFA in directing and writing. She is now developing several projects including a half-hour science fiction comedy pilot and two feature comedies. Her short films have screened at festivals around the world including Aspen Shortsfest, Cleveland International Film Festival, Napa Valley Film Festival, and Cannes Short Film Corner. Her short film Humpty was selected to air on PBS as part of KQED's Film School Shorts program.
Over the years, Clare has gained experience in development, production, and post-production of narrative short and feature films, scripted television, documentaries, commercials, and music videos.
